inferiority complex maybe?...your lil device is cute ..run along and go play with it
so the Bold is the flagship because it was the first new generation device??? funny
its the flagship device because its the fastest device made by RIM that has EVERYTHING RIM has to offer..WiFI,GPS,simultaneous data and voice and 3G...name me another RIM device that has all those features and i will gladly call it the RIM flagship device
Okay So I can see your sassy attitude partially comes from the fact that your a Giants fan and have a pansy for a QB, but all I said was that you contradicted yourself by SAYING it's all opinion, and then making your OPINION seem like it's the right opinion? I am not arguing the hard facts that the Bold has MANY MANY features that are better than the 8900. Personally I wish I had the money to have both.

And another thing, i'm not on here to fight about Bold not being the best blackberry, I THINK IT IS THE BEST BLACKBERRY. So i don't need you shooting out all of these facts about why it's better than the curve.

Here's why:

The keyboard on the 8900 is way small and hard to type on compared to the Bold. Niagara will have the same keyboard only slightly smaller, and yes the screen is smaller than the Bold but I don't really notice it.
I am still confused about the size of screen on the Niagara. Will it be the same or larger than the Bold?

Bold has bigger screen but Niagara has slightly higher resolution.

Please keep the discussion on the OP's topic. There's no need to talk about ovens and lasers on a mobile device. Thanks for your cooperation.

Thanks CX for the detail. I have updated and corrected my knowledge of CDMA behavior.

truth be told the 8900 is slower and does nothing better than the Bold...oh it takes better pictures....
its like you trying to convince me that a Toyota is better than a Ferrari because it has a bigger gas tank
the Bold is the flagship RIM device for a reason
then here comes the 9630 with a 528Mhz processor(storm internals) with a smaller screen and a copy of the Bold keyboard but its somehow better....PRICELESS!!
dont know if many of you noticed but the 4.6 and 4.7 OS are pretty much the same thing save a tweak here or there depending on the device
haha. well said. +1 for the BOLD!

Bold is GSM only (3G).
Niagara is 3G CDMA (EV-DO rev.A) with GSM (EDGE). It may have 3G GSM outside North America.
Bold is slightly larger than the Niagara.
Bold has WiFi.

I think those are the main differences between the two. The Niagara is pretty much a Storm with a keyboard.

How can they block 3G in north america?
if the phone has gsm 3g, then every networks which has 3g shud be able to pick it up right??

They aren't blocking anything. They are simply not including a radio for American 3G bands. European 3G is on a different radio frequency than American 3G. Remember, this is replacing the 8830 WE - Verizon's CDMA network has you covered here and their roaming partners abroad (this is where the GSM comes in) have you covered overseas.

how exactly is the ATT network not allowing the bold to shine?
i would like your opinion as to how ATT makes the Bold a lesser device
Well put. However, ATT has not executed the network evolution well enough to allow the Bold to perform to potential with any sustainable consistency. Consider Dropped Calls, Call Failed, Call Quality, Indoor reception... Shall I go on? However at times the Bold on ATT is extraordinary, at times. Form truly does follow function and Speed should follow reliability. Of course if I Always had coverage my tune may change but in the San Francisco Bay Area of California I unfortunately do not. ATT management of the 3G/2G networks allows my Curves to perform (at times) as well and better than the Bold. Thats just not right. A device is only as good as the network it runs on and ATT does indeed inhibit the BOLD.
