Well look where we are now! I remember I think back in Novemeber~December PMing cx about this phone and worth the wait. He told me it will outpace the Storm, and at the point I knew I had to wait. Glad I did Anyway I this I like this more than a Bold, because I did never like the leather back on it. Looks like an awesome device, just got to pony up more money for the data plan!

Loving this phone, going to have to restrain myself from jumping the gun and dumping my Storm for this at release. I love the touchscreen and all, but sometimes I really miss a physical keyboard. | Please do not put words in my mouth. I did not say this browser runs circles around the Storms browser. I said this browser is better. Theres a big difference in the two statements.

Misinterpreted the degree of better you meant, my apologies.

| | What About Release Date Hi Y'all,
Would like to thank the person(s) who provided the pics. And am looking forward to even better ones on Kevin's blog!! This BlackBerry is the one I've been waiting for - better camera, more memory, better resolution, etc., etc.
Am still not clear when RIM will be releasing this bad boy. Anyone know if it will be in Q1 or May/09 of Q2?
- CB
KEEP ON CRACKIN'

no wifi? really? isn't that a step backwards in the blackberry world for it's users. it doesn't make much sense in the long run to take it away from users, even if it's just verizon; that'd be a bad decision on their part.

Nice there's some love for you guys! More memory than the 8900? That's a ton, I have 9 or 10 3rd party apps and still have 124mb of file free left! You all will love it.

If anything I'm a bit disappointed that the keyboard is based on the Bold's (which in turn looks to be based on the 8800 series). I think the individual keys on the Curve/ 8900 would probably be a bit easier to use because of the separation.
I don't mind a large phone (I've gotten used to the 8830), but if it can be shrunk without loosing screen size I don't see that as a problem (although it does look like the screen is a tad smaller, but not too bad). Anyone have a side by side pic between the Bold and 8830 handy? I'm guessing that would give me a good clue as it's size (since I've never really dealt with an 8900).
This is pretty much what I've been waiting for, so most of the complaints are minor nitpicking to me...

Definitely getting this, not sure what I'm going to do with my Storm yet. This phone seems to be a great combination of phones but does anyone know if it has the great speakers that the Bold has?

This is pretty much what I've been waiting for, so most of the complaints are minor nitpicking to me... | Since this is the replacement for the 8830, it makes sense that it has the 8830/Bold style keyboard. The 8930 will be the Curve 8330 replacement, so it will have a similar keyboard to the Curve.
Personally, I don't like the look of the Curve. It is too small for me, and the keys look a little cheap in comparison to the 8830's. But that is just my opinion. I like the 8830 keyboard and am interested to see how the frets (a la Bold) work with the Niagara.

Since this is a CDMA device, it will be EV-DO rev A capable, which is the CDMA equivalent to 3G.
