So i was browsing thru the website, and i saw that an official New OS was out! i was very excited....

disappointment- i clicked on it to find out it was only for sprint? is this true, because i have Verizon and i was very excited to download it, but i am not sure if it is out for Verizon yet?

Can someone please tell me if it is out for Verizon yet? and if it is how can i get it?

You mean the wireless update? Do you recomend not downloading this yet?

You won't be able to upgrade OTA. You'll have to download the OS, install it on your PC, delete the vendor.xml file and then run app loader.

These are technically the instructions to upgrade a Storm but they should still work with the Tour, especially the VZW version

Is the new OS not for all carriers as it says on the homepage of this website? I go to my DM and nothing is there so I would assume probably not, but doesn't all carriers mean all carriers?

You can upgrade your Os with DM for mac. The actual DM just came out, before it was something different

I went to the BB website to download this as well (for all carriers), and noticed the file was named "sprint". I downloaded anyway, and installed, and it works flawlessly. (And fixed my SMS lag issue!)

If i go to version 5.0.0.230 or whatever it is, when an actual upgrade occurs, what will happen to my leaked version?

Well, the leaked version won't exist anymore on your device. And, if you go to 5.0.0.230....that IS a leaked version.

so i downloaded the OS onto my computer, and then tried to open it through desktop manager and it didnt register, it said it wasnt there. So i downloaded it again, and then my phone would not connect with Desktop Manager.

Any help would be great help.

I had the same trouble at first. Try restarting your computer, connect to DM and see if the update is there.

i restarted my computer, but my blackberry still wouldnt connect to my computer, so i uninstalled Desktop Manager, and The update, and am currently reinstalling both... could this have anything to do with me deleteing the file that the instructions told me to delete?
