    hi, im trying to upgrade to 5.0 os and i downloaded the .419 from MTS and i downloaded the .419 and its recognizing old os such as 4.7 os, why isnt it recoginizing my 5.0 .419 os? it wont let me put on the new os it doesnt recognize it in the app loader! please help!

    Uninstall all other OS's from your computer besides .419. Also make sure you delete the vendor file.

    assuming you are on windows vista....go to C>programs>common files>research in motion>loader. In that folder there will be a vendor.xml folder, delete it. Once that is done and if you have installed .419, click loader, it will find it, choose next, let loader do its job

    i dont see an .xml file? there is a vendor file and a bunch of loaderres files

    step one, download OS
    step two, install OS on PC
    Step three, go to C>programs>common files>reasearch in motion>apploader
    Step 4, delete vendor.xml file
    Step 5, in the same file folder, double click on loader
    Step 6, let loader do its job

    look towards the right side of the page for the vendor.xml file, if yo haven't deleted it, it is there.

    what are all the loaderres files.. there all from like november? and i did the loader all it did was run through it real quick asked if i wanted to remove all my apps and i had to check them and then it said no actions required and finished?

    in that folder, assuming you are on list view, look under type for the file type vendor.xml, let me know when you find it

    cool, I am still assuming that after you downloaded the new OS, you installed it....sooooo, click on loader, if the new OS is installed it will find it

    if it doesn't find it, it is not installed. Double click on the setup icon again where you downloaded the new OS and install it

    you have to make sure that after you download it, you go through the install process
