Default Need help with phone that i dried out

I dropped my phone in water a few days ago. I let it sit in rice for three days straight and everything and i thought it dried out. I plugged it into the charger and the light turned on so I know the phone part still worked. I hadn't put the battery in yet so the little "no battery" signal showed on the screen so I thought it worked. Then I put the battery in and my bb started rebooting and I could see that fine on the screen. Then after it was done rebooting the buttons and trackpad lit up like it normally would but the screen went black? Please help!

I dropped my Tour in tub; sank to bottom and I got it out ASAP. I had just read NOT to turn the device off, but rather pull the battery right away (I guess it shorts the circuit if you use on/off). Took it all apart, and put on window sill in sun. That night I used my vacuum on "gentle" and tried to suck any water out (don't use compressed air - that just blows any water in deeper). Stuck all the parts in a bag of rice for 3 days, and the Tour turned on and worked fine...but the screen had few areas that were shaded and nearly black, never got that to go away. I know this doesn't answer your ? really, just thought I'd share.

Default How To Dry Out A Wet Blackberry. This really works!!

My daughter dropped my curve into a sink full of water and told me several hours after the fact.
What I did was remove the battery which was now toasted there were four pink XXXX ‘s where the pink band was on the battery
l also removed the simcard. I placed the phone keyboard face down with the back access cover removed onto my electric base board heater in my office for about an hour and a half or so.
Note: I placed the phone on the corner of the heater so it could heat it up enough to dry it out NOT COOK IT .
I had to replace the battery in my phone upon started up the phone was operating as it was prior to taking its morning bath.

I hope this help someone, Good Luck.
