I didn't think I would ever try this, but I am getting tired of the browser click problem and my battery life does decrease faster.
So what is the most stable OS for the Tour? .484, 419? And where do I find them to download them. I have already read up on how to change the OS in the crackberry tips forum.

.643 & .662 leaks seem to be solid.

I am running .643 and i am not having any problems. Browser click issue is gone, memory and battery life have improved for me.

I would also recommend .643....I ran .662 for a few days and noticed quite measurable memory leak with no apps open. Somewhere around 5-10 MB overnight while it was charging. Switched to .643 today and it seems to be running great and less memory leak according to MeterBerry.

Except the op doesn't want the browser click bug, which .643 has.

Both .419 and .484 are great choices. I prefer the Driphter Dv8.2 hybrid. It is based on .419 but has the 484 radio. I've been running it for a couple months now, and it's fast, bug-free and very stable. Battery life is excellent as well. The 2 minute battery pulls are a nice bonus

.643 does NOT have the browser click bug, nor does .662. In fact, only OS .5xx and .624 have that issue.

.643 is THE most stable, quickest build. .419 and .484 both had minor issues. Most people are saying that .643 is as fast as .419 with Dv8.2.

I highly recommend everyone jumping on .643.

Right, but many are reporting that it is there in .643. It's kind of hit and miss.

Huh. Well, if it's as fast and stable as Dv8.2 then I might give it a go, lol.

Am I wrong that the .643 thread is full of browser bug reports? Maybe I'm thinking of another thread? Could be I guess.

Is the .643 OS verizon compatible? If so, could someone please post an OTA link for it? I have the .591, and am ready to throw my BB in the trash.

You can use any 9630 OS on a VZW 9630 if you follow the proper steps.

There is no OTA for .643

    My +1 for .643

I was on.419 and hesitated to change fearing I would lose the battery savings of the "standby" key that was phased out in builds right after .419. All is good though... the "lock" key, now moved to the top left not only appears to lock, but also standby.

    I'd recommend this build.

I think that .643 is a Verizon build because I didn't have to do anything special to install it. It's great, makes the Tour usable.
