I have an unknown icon at the top of my screen. It's not voice mail, email, and text messages the icon looks like the BB logo. I have no idea how to open this message. This also popped up shortly after the recent update that came out.

If it looks like the blackberry logo, then I would also guess that you have a bbm message.

Go to BlackBerry App World then My App World. It sounds like there is an update for an app you have on your phone. At least that would be my guess without seeing a screen shot

I tried using the techmogul capture it app and all I got was a white screen. The first link is in Spanish and I can't read it.

What color is the icon?

I did use Capture It and all I got was a white screen. The icon color is orange.

Sounds like maybe a Browser Message.

Open the Messages application, press Menu, select View Folders, select Browser Messages and look there.

The icon looks like the BB messager one. I also tried looking at the browser message that was suggested in an earlier post, and there was nothing there.

The only icon I've seen that looks similar to the BBM icon but orange is the notification for a new text/mms message in 5.0 OS's. But it has like line representing text in it, not a BB logo.

have you looked in your IM folder? I am pretty sure its a BBM msg.

Hey gang went by a Sprint store today, and found out that was indeed a BB message. So to those who where kind enough to respond and tried to help. I just wanted to say Thanks

That's an app world update. MTH333 spelled out how to update it. Also, if you go into your main menu, the app that has the update probably has a star next to it too. Select it and then you can choose to update it or not. Either way, the icon should go away.
