what do you mean multi tasking?
if while on the phone you hit the back button (the arrow to the right of the trackball) you can still operate the phone while continuing the call.
however most service providers prefer that you call from a landline or different cellphone so that you can use your tour to do everything they ask

Yep Verizon would always like a second connection to do trouble shooting, test calls, etc.

Give them a landline # and they will call you.

As for for multi tasking. Home the Menu button till the box pops up and choose the little house icon, that will take you to home screen.

well. you can have multiple apps open at once if thats what you mean. you can switch between open app by holding down the blackberry button (menu button) until the task bar pops up and scroll between and switch to different apps that are open. if that's what you meant then yes you can multitask.

I think he's talking about going on the internet and talking on the phone, but it depends on your service provider on that one

If u mean multi tasking in terms of accessing menus on the device, then yes. If u mean accessing data functions liking web browsing or sending a picture messages then No, CDMA networks use separate networks for voice and data and CDMA phones only have one radio so only one or the other is possible. GSM and 4G service provides simultaneous voice and data. To date Sprint or VZW has yet to release a 4g Blackbery.
