i have 2 email accounts set up on by BB and i'd like to have one of them with no notifications. no ring, no vib, no LED, no visual icon. i can't seem to find a setting that would allow that to happen with only one of my accounts. it seems like i either turn visual notification off for all email accounts, or on for all accounts. is there a way to split this?

I have mine set up that way. Well, practically. I have a junk mail account that I have set on no ring, no vibe, and only an LED notification. I have the option of turning off the LED though as well.

Just select your Profiles, Edit Profiles, select the profile you want to edit, Click on Messages, select the account you want to silence and modify the vibe, ring and LED sections as you want it.

Yeah, you can do all that individually, but you you can't control the notification icon individually.
