Anyone else missing the wireless os upgrade option under advanced options menu? On Verizon I might add. Under Service Book I have no OTASL provisioning line to delete and resend?
I will once I connect to company BES network to be able to get easy OS upgrade instead of waiting for my company to push it out.
A.) Your IT guy would NOT be amused. There are reasons we don't deploy updates the second they come out.
B.) Your BES server probably will prevent you from even doing this. There is a reason there is a disclaimer on the Verizon site regarding upgrading on BES without your admin's consent.

C.) Never tick off the IT crew. Ever.
Our Blackberry department lists advantages of preferred OS 4.5 and above as wireless OS updates. I don't know if that mean only ones they push out. I am not sure IF they even out updates.
I am on very good relations with the Blackberry department at our very large company.
I actually had this problem when I first got the Storm. I had updated my Storm OS via Wireless Upgrade, however shortly (like the day after) I had to get a replacement one. When I recieved the replacement one it did not have the current OS and I looked for the Wireless Upgrade function however it didn't have it. I am a Mac user so you can understand my frustration. I called VZW and basically they said becauase I had already done the upgrade, the Wireless Update function won't be pushed to me until another upgrade became available. However, the Wireless Upgrade soon became available. Therefore, I think the Wireless Update function won't appear until the first Wireless Update.
