Lights stay on while on a call...

When I am on a phone call, the talk, menu, back, and end buttons stay lit up continuously. All other lights will go off, just these remain on. It's actually pretty annoying.

Any way to turn these off?

i've noticed that too and i feel the same way. i'm also looking for a solution.

They stay on so you can easily see the main buttons you may need when you're on a call. I think it looks pretty sweet. My opinion aside, there is no setting to keep those off. There may be, however, an app you can download to do that..

Maybe I am a geek, but I've got to admit that I love that about my Tour. It looks cool with only those lights on!

yep these guys are telling you correct, no setting will allow you to turn this off...besides why is it annoying?? when you are holding your phone up to your face in a totally dark room you still cant see them...and it makes it easy to hit the end button after a long phone call as well...but hey thats why they make salt and pepper, different people like different things, sorry...try an app that might turn it off but other than that I don't know, goodluck

exactly, this is one of the small things that make a phone fantastic. and it looks sick in the dark!

its a feature of the phone. Its made to have the main lights on as you talk so you can see the buttons easily at night if you need to scroll through the phone while still on a call.

When I first noticed it, I thought it was pretty cool. It uses power conservation by not backlighting the entire keyboard, but still makes the keys that you need during a call visible in the dark.

Maybe I have translucent skin or something lol. While laying in bed talking on the phone couple nights ago I noticed this and it because annoying to see the lights.
There are disadvantages of the lights as it relates to my
occupation as well.

Guess I'll keep searching for an app! Thanks all.

Couldn't agree more. Makes the buttons easier to find, and makes the phone look cooler.

Im not touchin that one lol - I think it has to stay on from what I heard - anyone heard of a way to minimize the time that the screen stays up after locking the phone??
