After my second random reboot my phone seems like it's stable now. I haven't had any issues since then. The phone seems faster compared to .975.

Just came back from a random reboot. Pretty disappointing that 983 and 1030 has random reboots. I think its a total deal breaker. Its not worth the tiny speed up.

Default Bedside Mode

One issue I found is that my Tour will not automatically go into bedside mode, even though it has been set in the clock options. This is a known issue with 1030 and the geeks at Tweaks have come up with a solution. Extract these three clock files and use BBSAK to Install cods:

Bedside Mode Fix

Can a moderator combine the two Spring 1030 posts?

I had many problems with 983, frequent random reboots was the worst. I have not had any random reboots with 1030. Try wiping your old OS, re-install 1030 and do 4 or 5 battery pulls and see if that helps. Good luck!

Check BBTweaks.com in the next week or so. Phil is out Tour mad scientist and he says he will be working feverishly on a more stable, up-to-date hybrid soon.

So how is bluetooth working? On the last one I could click on enable bluetooth for 10 minutes before it would actually do it. Went back to .484 and it works first time every time.

Think if there are random reboots I'll stick with .484 even though I ran .983 and didn't have any cept one.

My theory is that the reason Sprint came out with this update so quickly is because of all the problems with 983. It would make sense that the random reboot issue would be fixed. I don't think any of the other platforms running 1030 are having reboot problems.
JB

But my logic may be flawed where I state: "It would make sense . . . "

You need to give it some time. Today it has been running like new.

I'm going to hold off on this one until I see all is good. Don't want to have to deal with random reboots again like in .983. That was a major pain.

Downloading now. I never had any problems with my Tour until the 983 upgrade then it had random reboots. Hope this is better.

You may have some random reboots when you first load the OS. After the second reboot I haven't had a problem since. Just FYI. I'll keep you all updated when I have reboots. So far haven't had one since last night.

Ok... I'm watching this forum to see what other people experience! I spent at least a week with .983 which was AWFUL (ended up wiping everything to clean bb and starting over)! I had multiple random reboots every day! I think I will wait it out to see what other people experience before I take the plunge!!!

PLEASE KEEP US POSTED ON YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE NEW OS!!
