Did RIM/Verizon test this at all??? I don't get it... waiting this long, yet with so many issues. It makes me wonder what is going on over at RIM this days.

Everything mentioned. Loaded up DM 9630 specific downgrade option. My phone is wicked fast now. Click a link in browser, your there. Trackball slowdown..no more. No more feedback from prior sent tone after call/end. Feelin good thus far.

> -Severely reduced battery life
> -Browser clicking and zooming in Blackberry native browser takes 2-5 clicks before getting a result.
> -audio clips received through MMS get "stuck" to the end of ringtone alerts, even if they've been deleted. Only known fix is to do a battery pull.
> -Reboot time greatly increased.
> -Bluetooth does not auto start on power up.
> -Checking the bluetooth box under enable connections does not "stick". This appears to be random.
> -Bluetooth speaker volume is very low when connect to handsfree devices.
> -HUGE memory Leak!

The idiots at Verizon are saying these are all new features, not bugs!

I also don't like the fact they inserted 1+ before a phone number. cellular doesn't need 1+ dialing.....really is stupid

I had email issues too. I would send an email and upon hitting send it would disappear and copy would be in a different folder. I was on the phone with CS and there was nothing they could do to help me resolve issues. I immediately downgraded back to the 4.7 and am happy again. I was ready to dump it if I couldn't downgrade it. I don't like the threaded texting would stick on me as well

My only real gripe still is the browser click issue. Initially my memory and battery drain at first were affected but are now improved to better with more apps on now. I haven't had any of the bt issues that some have reported. Overall I'm pleased but this isn't a holy grail by any means.

Never had issues outside of the browser click issue. .548 had phenomenal battery life but that was after a couple of weeks breaking in. I guess .591 might work proper after a while.

try this one on for size "Uncaught exception java.lang.illegal argument" when I try to access the native browswer. I am seriously pissed at whatever caused this and no a battery pull did not help. Neither did the following two battery pulls. I have also not loaded anything on this phone that I did not have on 4.7 OS or my previous Tour since I am now on my second one.

Everything else seems to be working fine but I am seriously aggravated that I may have to rebuild this piece of crap because of this. I really have no idea what to do with it to be honest and I am NOT wiping this worthless junk just for the native browser when Bolt is working. If it doesn't have it on it now, I'll install through DM and be done with it.

I had the same error message...Tech support had wipe the phone twice and it still was not fix...They sent me a new phone which I got today, but it had the os 4.7, so I am going to do this again, if it fails, then I give up

I hear ya mstreece. I don't want to do that but obviously it is an OS issue and not related to anything I put on the phone considering anything and everything worked on 4.7 for me.

Good luck with the new phone, I hope that fixes the issue for you!

I just installed the new OS on my Tour and now I can't find the icon to lock my phone. Where did it go? I always lock my phone when it's in my pocket but now I can't do that... ??

I did a complete wipe of my Tour using BBSAK before installing .591. I have not seen any of the issues that others are reporting, except for the Bluetooth startup problem. Takes many tries to get Bluetooth started after the phone wakes up.

Regarding the battery, I have not seen any change in battery life, and I have not experienced any issues with the browser.

But the Bluetooth issue is a big one for me.

I had one other problem with bedside mode and the phone waking up into that mode, which I corrected through options settings.

After going through the 5.0 install process, my phone wouldn't even boot up. It had the white screen with the hourglass in the middle and just stayed there. So I took the battery out, waited a few, put the battery back in, and same thing...hourglass. I tried doing this a few times, and now my phone won't even turn on anymore. No lights, black screen....nothing. Completely dead.

For me :
-internet lag
-browser click (I can deal with, just give me god damn speed/consistency on load)
-Battery life
-Unnecessary junk/stuff loaded on that I don't want/ever will use: Slacker, Visual Voice Mail, BBM

Much better than 4.7 but not as good as a couple old leaks.

It has been observed that come people with custom themes do not seem to have these specific problems; but both of the themes that Verizon provides ("Precision Zen" and "Verizon Zen") exhibit the problematic behavior.

because of this, voicemail alerts show up as unread BBMs.
