This was not a problem before the OS update from Verizon. After the upgrade, when I place my blackberry in the charging pod, it goes to "bedside mode", turns off the keyboard light for a second, and then the light comes back on and stays on. Anyone know why ?

Under clock options, I have When charging, Enter bedside mode. Also, Options->Screen/keyboard, I have automatically dim backlight, set to ON.

I had the same problem, first things first is try a battery pull... If there is still a problem do what i do

What i did is turn my Bedside mode off, and when i go to charge my BB on the pod, I then put my BB in standby mode and thats it

Found the problem. I had LeaveItOn installed, and there is an option in there that says "Leave the screen ON when charging". I had unchecked it, but when I installed the new OS, it got reset. I am slowly realizing that, a lot of options on other programs also got reset.
