    Hi. I'm on Sprint and I just got my Tour 9630. On my Curve I was able to set my texts to be kept in my phone for a year, I have read the manual and fiddled around and haven't found the area to change this option so my texts wont automatically delete after a certain time. Can this be done on the Tour?

    Also, my Curve just showed my text with the date first then the contact followed by a space and the first few words of the text but the Tour is showing the whole text message under the contact when I open the sms icon. Is there a way to hide the whole text?

    For the second part, go into messages, options, display message on one line.

    In that same options page, change Keep Messages to Forever.

    However, my Tour has been having trouble saving the messages longer than 15 days, and I have it set to keep them forever. Last time I checked, it was a bug with the OS. Hopefully RIM has/or will fix that with a patch. So, you may not be able to keep your messages for that long.
