Has it been determined if the inability to set notifications for 3rd party apps is an os bug or a device specific issue?

Verizon seems to know nothing about it, shocking right?

Ubertwitter
Beejive
Meterberry

I am unable to adjust notifications for any of them.

I run some of those apps and I can set custom alerts just fine. They show up under "other" in the list.

So when you go to Options >Ringtones/Alerts click on "Other" and see if they are listed. Mine are...

I have no "other" field. That's the problem.

Wow. Sounds like a problem with your phone specifically... I would return it or wipe it.

Did you by chance install those apps from a backup, or did you redownload the apps and set them back up by hand after the reinstall?

I know where you are going. I did install from a backup so last night I wiped and reloaded the os. I then checked my phone before installing any of my apps and I still did not have an "other" tab.

Hmm off topic but how did you get beejive on your Tour keeps saying it's not available for the storm when i go to the downloads page. Yeah you should have the other option though.. that's weird
