I just now installed and activated the PTT. Tried it out with another Blackberry Tour. Works great. However, does that phone icon always stay on the top of the homescreen now?
also, does anyone know how to change the sound of the beeps?
I guess it stays to let you know that PTT is enabled. I have PTT enabled with no PTT contacts and it shows the phone icon.
thanks for the information. Looks like were stuck with that phone on our screen for as long as we have PTT on our phones. I'm just fussy, I like a clean look with no cludder on my screen and that phone icon doesnt do a purpose to me

Agreed. It should show only when you have a missed PTT contact, imo.
