I had been getting lousy reception here at the office, so I decided to give this a shot. Nothing really happened, but then I followed it with a battery pull, and now I'm getting 4 bars instead of 1-2. So if you don't get any results, try pulling your battery and see what happens.
Prl just stands for preferred roaming lists, so if any new towers have went up with other carriers that your carrier has roaming agreements with, then it would definately help. As far as boosting your phones output, well, it doesnt

does anyone know if sprint has taken care of the trackball issue with the tour, seen that the verison customers have been saying they been getting new tours in a box with a green dot that work awesome has sprint done the same?

Mine finally went 2 weeks ago. Called Sprint and they shipped me a new one, no green dot, and under About it says "Refurbished: N". The trackball on this one is firm, and feels like the one on the old 8830 did, not loose like the first I received did. If you go to a Corporate Store they will probably just replace the trackball, that is what they did with the one I have from my employer.
Bell users dont have the update prl option nor the *228 option but i would really like to know if it is possible to update prl with Bell. Also i upgraded OS from .40 to .57 today and am definately getting a stronger signal, not much but anything helps.

Didn't really help with my Tour...stinks cause it's looking like I'll need to go back to Verizon as Sprint coverage at my home is too spotty. Yeah, I can't wait to be nickeled and dimmed to death once again.
