Lets say I take the time to get the new os 5.0 and I don't like it. Can I just use Desktop Manager to install 4.7 on there again?

Yeah, you can change the OS as many times as you want.

But most people that load 5.0 don't go back.

A newer higher build leak for the tour sure would be nice right about now.

    No kidding.

I would never go back to 4.7 though.

I am just nervous that apps and everything will either not run or I will not like the set up. I have my phone set up the way I like it now, change is scary. I also make my own themes and I really want those to work. I see on TB there is the option for 5.0 os. I really want that threaded sms. Can I have sms/mms go to my sms and e-mails go to messages on os 5.0?

I upgraded to the 5.0 OS and went back to the 4.7 shortly after that. It's real easy to downgrade.

i too reverted from 5.0 to 4.7 as well. i've actually bounced back and forth a few times. i've been using BBSAK to backup and restore apps and settings to make the process a little less tedious.

You can back up apps on DM. You'll see a list of all your apps before you upgrade or downgrade. Some may need to be reinstalled though, I think.

    ...I did

.230 was great, when it wasn't constantly rebooting on me.

I've been running .230 and various hybrids for a month and I haven't seen one re-boot issue. I think it's application / hardware dependent.

no issues with rebooting on 5.0 if you really have a lot of questions about the 5.0... just visit the OS/ hybrid fourm on here and read all about the 5.0's

I didn't have any reboot issues but I definitely had some major lag problems.

I think the hybrid/beta os forum may help you out more as mjbesen said.

I used App loader to load it- after backing everything up using mutliple sytems like BBSAK, DM the 3rd party App trick with DM etc. It installed perfectly and re-sorted all data and settings. I only had to re-install a few apps and re-register them- No issues there either-

All in all very good, am real happy with it- re-boot itme isj ust over 4 min - lots of extra memory and the battery lasts foreever !

    I can't see going back.

Good luck- took about 90 min -35 to 40 to install another 60 or so to download & reinstall apps etc-

Good luck ! You'll find everyoen real helpful here!

I have not had any rebooting or any other issues either. All is going well with 5.0.0.230. The threaded sms is great and I also get 30+ hours of battery life. Once I installed it I didn't look back. I also believe that the reboot issue is application dependent. I would go for it. If you don't like it, plug into desktop manager and it should prompt you to go back to 4.7. I really believe you will be happy with 5.0.

I dont want to go back! So far. I was disappointed that QuickPull didn't work, but then i found a version that did. The I found the problem with the music player not playing the second song and I realized all you have to do is pause it, then play it and it works fine. Totally worth it for the better battery life, quicker re-start time, added icons, threaded sms.....

Yeah, just upgraded to 5.0.0.230 a couple hours ago and I'm loving it. Snappy response, more free memory, just all around awesome.
