I am having a problem with *new message icons*. When i get an email, only my general message folder shows that I have a new email, while my actual account email doesn't.
This becomes a pain because I hide my general message folder and when I have a new icon, i have to unhide, read, and then hide again...
is there a fix to this?
I've already tried toying with the setting in message notifications/alerts
Make sure that you haven't combined your folders into a single one. You can do this by highlighting the date and then going down to "Options", then "General Email Settings". Make sure they are 'seperated'.
Also, have you done a battery pull on the device?
I know that the OS has an issue of this happening from time-to-time for certain people. I had the issue with Visual Voicemail, it kept displaying a 'new voicemail' icon but there was none. I had to actually wipe and reload my phone.
