I am new to BB but am catching on.

Right now the problem I am having is that I show a "2 envelope) = messages but they are no where to be found.

No emails all my inbox's are empty, no sms/mms and nothing on facebook. I have nothing running (as far as I know).

First the icon showed the envelope with a red asterisk on it on the desktop icon. Couldn't find any messages then anywhere, downloads, apps, nowhere.

I restarted the BB and now the icon with the 2 stayed there but the red asterisk is gone but still no messages to be found anywhere.

Any ideas?

Do you have any SAVED messages?

Check your Saved Messages.
Do a battery pull with the device turned on.

I have nothing in "saved messages" and the battery pull while live didn't help, the icon 2 messages is still there.

I fixed it, by accident I guess, I was just looking around.

In my sms folder under options>inbox nothing was checked.

So there was 2 messages waiting but the folder was set as to show nothing (nothing ticked).

As soon as I ticked the box to show them in the folder, there were the 2 messages.
