Best OS for Tour since it's release...

May I ask why you recommended .643 over .662? I'm thinking of upgrading from a .419-based hybrid.

Does it the vendor file need to be removed or are they hosting it already done?

Is there a way to do a OTA download?

You canNOT do an OTA download of an OS from another carrier, if that's what you are asking. I have never done an ota for the OS - I prefer to manually backup my data and phone and then have the OS on my computer in case I need it to install other apps or themes.

Thanks! I have VZW and was thinking today about upgrading to the .591, but im running on 4.7 right now since I'm too scared to upgrade to a OS that gave me the "white screen of death" and dont want to have to go through all the trouble to get a replacement

You could upgrade within Verizon using OTA since you are a Verizon customer, I believe.

I think there is a guide on the Crackberry 101. Just use BBSAK 1.7 (Google the download link), wipe the phone (backup through DM first), then load the new OS.
