With todays technology of batteries you just need to charge it and forget it. The old batteries you needed to fully drain and charge it.

Yep. Options->Status Also, some themes have a built in meter that gives you a percentage next to the battery bar.

Funny though...

When it's charged first, you can see it hit 100% in about an hour, maybe less. But the battery remains hot or warm for hours and hours. This seems to go away after first use, but I really don't fully understand this. Anyone?

The real question for @chaseh140 is: will you please post the link to video of you doing the Battery Charging Dance? I think it could be very helpful to some of the newcomers out there.
