When I do/simulate a battery pull, it takes my Tour just under 10 minutes to be usable again. That's probably not normal, right? Time for a wipe...

How long does your Tour take?

2.5 min. Using the .230 leak and used maxmem to get rid of some stuff I don't need.

My phone has always taken about 3 mins to reboot, regardless of OS. Currently running a 5.0.0.230 based hybrid, but I've used almost all the versions.

From what I've encountered, this time does not increase as you add more applications (at least not significantly, say from 3 to 10 mins). I think there just happens to be a large range of values for reboot times, and some phones will take longer than others, regardless of OS version/"freshness".

Also, I think enterprise use/security can lead to longer reboot times.

Mine took about 10-12 minutes running .40 from the time I hit reset on quickpull lite. I have since installed .61 and now it takes 5 minutes with quickpull, and 7-8 minutes with a battery pull.

No matter how many apps I've had, it has always taken about 10 minutes to reboot with the original OS. I'm waiting for OS5 before upgrading it though.

8:32 with 5.0.0.230 and ShrinkOS used to take 30Mb of fluff out of the OS. I do have ~20 apps but still boot with ~118Mb free memory.

Press and hold alt+right shift+del then use this link:
    Online Stopwatch

    Ready? Go!

PS - also what OS are you using? Is it shrunk? lots of apps? etc...

usually around 4 minutes, I just put a bunch of apps on it and sometimes it takes about 5 minutes. I'm hoping it gets better when OS 5 comes out

Ditto. I rarely do a battery pull. No need unlike my previous BB. When I do one however, I'd say between 4-5 minutes. No more than 5 though.

It used to take 10 - 12 minutes when I was using the original VZW OS, but now that I'm using .230 it takes about 5 minutes.

    UPDATE:

Apparently themes can cause a huge difference in boot time. I was using the Orange ProV3 theme and switched to the Reverie HT theme today. Had to reboot for something, i don't remember, but the boot up time was cut in half.

I timed it just now and it took 4:50 seconds with 5.0.0.230 and ShrinkOS used to take 30Mb of fluff out of the OS. I do have ~20 apps but still boot with ~118Mb free memory.
