When I'm out I keep either an Epik case or a Seidio Snap case on mine. I prefer it naked BUT I am a massive klutz so a case is necesssary. haha. (For example, once I was carrying my phone and a bottle of soda. Dropped the bottle of soda and went to catch it by doing what? Letting go of the BB. lol. The case saved it from massive physical damage.)
I also use a screen protector because I hate scratches on my screen.
I have had a Body Glove snap case on mine since day one. Protects great against impact, but I have noticed that anything getting between the case and the phone scratches the heck out of it!
i have a clear snap on case that i got on Amazon for $3.... i droped my phone getting out of my car and the case broke with no harm done to my phone. cheap to replace so im not mad the case broke! i also use a privacy protector screen. it is a little thick and darkens the screen, but so worth it when you are around people and dont want them to see what you are doing or texting on your phone....
