How do I get the new wireless update?

I currently have the 5.0.0975 version. Anyone else I know has the newer updated one. How do i get it? I checked for updates, but it says there are none. Any suggestions?

Follow the instructions and all should be well. A list of latest official OS may be at the top of the forum or search and you will find.

Thank you! I want the .1030, but ive heard that it only works for Sprint, however, I am Verizon. Is that true?

For the purpose of wirelessly updating, you can only do that if your carrier has that version out.

If you have a PC, you can use software from any carrier you want on your BB. It's just a matter of downloading it, running the ,exe file you downloaded and finding "vendor.xml" to delete. C:/program files/common files/research in motion/apploader/ is typically where to find that.

Then just run loader.exe after you've got vendor.xml eliminated and it should back up your files, install the new os, and restore your contacts/sms/all that fun stuff. I don't know if it backs up 3rd party apps or not as I never used paid ones so I never cared...
