how can I disable txting?

Traveling overseas, I know how to disable data if I need, but how do I disable SMS, MMS on my Tour, leaving everything operating?

I am going on a trip overseas and would prefer not to receive sms/mms while I am gone because of extra costs, I will still use whatsapp with people I need to keep intouch with. This would only be temporary

You need to contact your carrier and see if they will block them at the network level.

You can use the Firewall to block them on the device, but typically even with the firewall enabled, you can incur costs from SMS and MMS sent to you.

The only foolproof way is to have the carrier block them.

ah, thanks, I just read about the firewall and thought about trying that, and atleast I could stop those that are not comeing from people on my contact List.
