My phone crashed last week after I updated my BB with the new OTA 5.0 software. I took my BB to the Sprint tech support and they corrected the new 5.0 platform but the SMS/MMS notification icon displays new messages and I dont have new SMS/MMS messages. I have already Updated My Profile and Preferred List as well as pulling out the battery. The notification went from 3 new messages to now 5 new SMS messages. Please help....thanks!
Go to your messages - not sms/mms folder - scroll to the top, press menu then mark all read. If this does not work, press menu then go to saved folder and see if any messages are in this location.
Does anyone have a solution for this? Doing a backup and restore of SMS using DM is a temporary solution, but the icon comes right back after a battery pull.
