Hearing myself talk when handset volume is turned up?
Hearing myself talk when handset volume is turned up?
I’m on my second Tour from Verizon (first one was traded in for this same reason) and I’m having an issue with the sound quality of the phone. The issue is, when I’m speaking into the phone and the volume is turned up to more than about 40%, I can hear my own voice being reproduced just a little bit. Unfortunately, I have a deep voice and this causes a kind of hum when I’m speaking – very annoying! If I hold the phone further from my mouth (uncomfortably so) or turn the handset volume way down this problem goes away, but those aren’t good solutions.
What’s funny is that the phone didn’t do this for the first day that I had the replacement – it sounded fine! Then suddenly it started happening. I am using the cheap silicone case that they sell at the Verizon store and I’ve tried removing it but it makes no difference . It’s very annoying to have to turn the volume down to avoid this sound problem!
Has anyone had this problem? Any advice appreciated!!
Thanks, Dave
