I know this may be a crazy question but i gotta ask. Two days ago i switched the font on my Tour from BB Casual to BB Alpha Serif. Since then i noticed a significant drain on my battery. Also my usage on my BB has not increased or changed. All my settings are the same the only thing i changed is the font. Dose changing the font or the type of font you use effect battery usage?

Fonts that are TrueType and used in themes do and can cause performance issues, leaks, etc... Something about them being rendered as images all the time. I cannot imagine changing from one BB font to another would cause this as I'm sure if they are BB fonts they wouldn't be TrueType.

Could be the case though. Change back and experiment!

I doubt the font will put a huge drain on the battery. If you have constantly updating apps or dont close them all the way that will cause a drain.
