Don't think so. CDMA carriers generally do not allow other CDMA carriers' devices on their networks.

I don't see why not. The only difference in the phones is the os and programs. VZW owns alltel now anyway.

Do you currently have an Alltel plan and would like to activate a Verizon Tour? If you are in a market that was part of the merger, you can activate a Verizon Tour on you Alltel plan without moving over to a Verizon plan. That is exactly what I did with my Tour and the "billing issues" Verizon spoke of were nowhere to be found. There are 6 Blackberries on our account, 2 of which are Verizon Blackberries and we have had no issues. But if you have an Alltel Tour and want to activate it on a Verizon account, that is something Verizon will not do. Verizon will not activate a non-Verizon device on a Verizon account....strange...I know.

Some AllTel customers were divested to other carriers.
