I just got my 3rd replacement Tour from Sprint yesterday and everything on it is perfect. I noticed that it came unlocked already. It makes me wonder if this is the key to getting a good Tour.

Since the first batches of Sprint Tours were locked accidentally, then this must be from a newer batch.

So, anyone with a factory unlocked Tour having any problems?

options->advanced options->SIM Card->type "MEPD" if it says "inactive" under network then your phone is unlocked.

note: while youre typing "MEPD" nothing will show on the screen

What build (CANADA 1, MEXICO 3, etc.) is your device?

You can either look on the LABEL on the box or under the battery. It's in the lower right corner.

(my Verizon store had no idea about this).

Mexico 5, no issues for me.

And it states "disabled" under network.

I got it from a Sprint Store.

The minute I touched the scrollball I could tell it felt completely different. The battery door doesn't even move if I try to push it up or down.

Box says Mexico 5 just like my previous one that had a bad scrollball and slightly loose battery door.

The rep gave me the whole package too, not just the phone. Now I've got a perfect phone, extra memory card, holster, charger & earbuds.

Have any of your tried a non prepaid Tmobile SIM to send and receive calls?

If this works I will be taking back my old tour and getting a new one

I'm a couple days in with my newest Tour and no problems so far. This latest tour is definitely different.
