I just got that email too and it said it is available now for download. I plugged in and it said it was a 4.7 update!? I'm just finishing the update now, so we'll see what happens.

I got the same e-mail and tried to upgraded but says 4.7 still too. To me that means it is not ready yet but if you find different let us know!

That makes sense. I was thinking about that as I used to have the Storm as well. I guess it is still tied to me somehow.

Yea I got up at 5:30 and saw I had 2 emails re: the 5.0 OS - talk about enthused! As everyone else, just a tease I'm a previous multiple storm owner too.

Yep, former Storm owner here, too. Saw the email on my way to work. Couldn't wait to log on and download the new update! And then I check the file name I'm about to download - 4.7.1.40?!? Aww crap! And then I think, I'll bet it's a notice for the Storm 5.0. So off to CB I go to confirm it. Oh well. 5.0 has to be coming to the Tour soon, no?

I wish they would hurry up and come out with an official 5.0 OS update. My phone freezes several times everyday and while I love it so far, I really hate the freezing and the random loading.
