Yesterday I turned off the alerts for emails, I think the setting I have it is on silent. It worked yesterday, I saw the emails in messages but there was no alert sound.

Now, today I am hearing the alert is it set to, but it still says silent. I do not want to hear an alert for emails.
What can I do to stop the alert sounds?

Check your profiles.

If they are on Loud or Medium, you will hear them regardless.

Keep your phone on Normal profile for best results.
