    I just bought my first blackberry yesterday. I got the tour and im not receiving e mail alerts. I get the flashing light but... nothing else.

    Never mind , i figured it out. I had to change the settings from normal to 10 for volume

    Yeah it comes from the store on default with alert off. Not sure why but I had to change it too.
