Hello CrackBerry Nation,
I have stumbled on a couple of ebay auctions going on right now.
Thought you guys might want to know, bellow are some details:
The 9630 is a cdma phone. Why does it say unlocked gsm. I'm sure it is a world phone, but even still I don't think the gsm won't work in the us. If you have gsm wouldn't you just get the bold? This doesn't make any sense to me. Maybe its a scam.

You should probably do some more reading about the 9630 and what it is before you start giving advice.

Evb624 the 9630 is just like the Storm. Like the 9530, it can/will work on CDMA and GSM networks. Considering that this device is not registered properly, which prohibits it from working on a CDMA network, you can stick a SIM card in it and it will work on EDGE.
Like with the Storm, some people will buy these devices to unlock and use on AT&T, T-Mobile, Rogers, etc.
There's another Ebay auction out there right now that is titled as IF it's a phone - but, once you start reading the actual description, it's not a phone at all - it's an EMAIL (GMail) address!!
It's very suspiciously worded... using words like UNLOCKED and UNRELEASED trying to insinuate that it's the phone...but, just selling you a password to an email address.

Bidder Beware!
I pity the poor fool that clicks it without reading and is severely disappointed
You would have to be really hard up to have the latest and greatest to pay that type of money for a phone you cant even use. Even if you manage to get the new OS build on it, verizon wont activate it, so using a bleeding edge device on EDGE... that will stop working when RIM kills the pin.. and paying 1000.00 for it... not a good idea
You can spend over 1000 for the 9630 now, or just wait a few months and pay MUCH less and be able to use it on CDMA or GSM (if unlocked). Also the 1000 phone will be difficult if not impossible to insure or get a warranty for.
