This has recently just started happening to me. Its been happening to only one of my contacts (that I know of), and he claims my tour is sending 2-3 copies of the message. I would also like a fix.
i have seen this too, used to happen to me when i RECEIVED from my roomate's storm on my dumbphone. then i got a tour and it still happens and now he says that i send duplicates (usually 2 sometimes up to 4) as well. so i think its something to do with the BB coz now we are both getting duplicates. no idea on the fix, it only happens once in a while and i cannot isolate the situation to be able to be able to duplicate it on command (lol no pun intended!)
I had the same problem when I was using 471 software...I upgraded to 5.0 last night and I am no longer having the problem. 5.0 is much nicer anyway...worth the switch.
resend your service books. I was having troubles with duplicate messages and deleted my email accounts and set them up again and its no longer doing that.
Its not a Blackberry problem. I'm on Sprint and my wife and kid are on Verizon and I get their texts repeated 2-4 times and they have an LG Dare and Droid. It's been happening to me for months when I recieve texts from my friends on Verizon.
I'm having similar issues as well. I have noticed this though...it only seems to happen between myself and t-mobile users. This could just be an amazing coincidence, because a good amount of the people I talk to are on T-Mo. Once in a great while, I'll receive multiple copies of the same text. But more often the recipient receives 4 copies of what I've sent. Maybe it's a CDMA/GSM issue??
