Hi,

Im trying to download Google Sync for my BB Tour. When I try to acces the google sync website at www.m.google.com/sync I get a HTTP Error 503: Service Unavailable. This has been going on for the last few days while all other websites including Google Maps work fine. Also, when I search Google Sync website for instructions on downloading, all I find are instructions for Iphones or Android.
Can anyone help????

Your URL is wrong.

Though on my 9930 it does just say to visit m.google.com/sync to see if your device is supported.

Hmmm. Weird.

Anyway your original URL was www.m.google.com/sync, which is not correct.

So leave off the www. At the start.

Google Sync for BlackBerry was discontinued six months ago. Google to discontinue support for Google Sync for BlackBerry app | CrackBerry.com

So is there any other solution how to get the Google Sync working? I have tried to download the app from the web as Google hasn't got it on their site anymore, sucessfully installed it, but it still isn't working. I have found somewhere in this forum to enable the APN, that also did not worked,also to hard reset the phone ( battery removal ), that also did not solved the issue. I'm only trying this on WIFI I don't have a data plan. Does anybody here have some other way how to synchronize gmail and google contacts? Through some other service or app? I have a BlackBerry Bold 9700.
