so i just downloaded my the latest OS version 5.0.0.591 and i was using version 4.7 before this. After i downloaded it, i am now unable to make calls or use the internet. It says "Sim Card Needed" on the top of my phone, but i never used a sim card before this. I never needed a sim card before the download. Also, it connected me to another network and i dont know how to connect to my old network.

anyone had this problem?

also, how would i switch back to my old OS? thanks

You don't say what carrier you are on. Presumably, you are on a CDMA carrier.

Go to Options > Mobile Network and set it to 1XEV.

Then go to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register Now

Then go to the Email Settings, log in, press Menu and Resend your Service Books.
