no, its a soft rubbery feel like the sides of the phone are. The only other blackberry that has a leather back, well fake leather, is the Onyx, (Bold 2)

maybe verizon has a "rubbery" battery cover but sprint has a plastic cover that does have a very small print diamond pattern to it.

My Verizon Tour has the rubbery back plate just like the sides. The Sprint Tour has the plain plastic from what Ive heard.

9eater, you mean even the center textured area on your back is soft rubber? The sides are rubber, but the center portion is hard textured plastic.

It would be nice if some 3rd party company (or even RIM) made a replacement battery cover with a soft pleathery feel to it like the Bold. I'd probably buy one.

I woudn't mind even having the Verizon Tour battery cover instead of my Telus Tour battery cover because that shiny plastic is a fingerprint magnet
