Man up, its easy and almost risk free to update. you can do it, and you shouldn't avoid it. even if you wait till fall there is bound to be an update after 5.0 is out.

Nope 4.7.1.XX, similar to the Storm OS which is 4.7.0.XXX (148 currently) The inteface and OS will be very similar to the Storm except for it not having the touch controls.

Eventually all current devices will go to 5.0 which is also similar to the Storm interface and OS operations.

i can deal with that...i like everything about the storm except the fact that it's touchscreen so that's pretty much perfect for me

You don't have to hope because it's better. .28 is fantastic and it might not be the actual build that goes gold .

It will vzw wanted the storm out when it wasn't ready. Rim has had plenty time with the tour so it will be IMHO

Crackberry did a review and so did The Boy Genius Report. After they did their review the software that was installed was 4.7.1. Hopefully by the time the Official BlackBerry Tour 9630 drops, it will have 5.0 installed, (Hopefully)!!

Only one phone I know for certain getting shipped out with 5.0 is Onyx. Storm II is pending.

Well if the Gemini and Aries release around the same time then I know 5.0 will already be rolled out most likely.
