Whenever I have to reboot my Tour, it takes a good 6+ minutes until I can do anything again. Does this happen to anyone else, and is there any way around it?

I don't think there's a way around it. Its like turning on your home computer or laptop, its going to take a certain time to load everything no matter what. With windows you can turn some stuff off to boot faster but thats a windows environment.

    Mine takes like 6 minutes

Yes, forever to boot. If I keep my call and message logs clear (and system logs), I can get this under 10 mins. Really unacceptable.

My first Tour was around 6 minutes. My new one is around 4 minutes, but I don't have as much stuff installed.

When I got my Tour it took about that long, if not longer to boot. I've since loaded it up with the Tour Hybrid v7.0 (and all the ones that came before that), which gets the boot time to about 3ish minutes. I'd recommend the Hybrid, but if you're not comfortable with that, go with the "leaked" .53 firmware, as it's official (kinda) and improves the boot time (plus other bugs).

yep.. it all depends how much stuff you have on the Tour.. the more you have, the longer it will take to start up

I've hear a rumor that the size of the media card matters..

but i have a 8gb card and i am running Interhun's latest Hybrid OS based off 4.7.1.53 adn my tour takes 3-4 minutes to boot.

I'd upgrade to at least 4.7.1.53 (even better the hybrid) and see what happens,.

on .40 my tour took forever to boot up, but i just upgraded to .53 and now my tour boots up under 3min. boot times will decrease drastically with new software updates.

usually around 3 minutes, but you shouldnt have to reboot your phone more than once a day and that is with extremely heavy use. Just download quickpull lite for free, set it to auto reboot while you are sleeping, I set mine for 5am, never have to reset other than that.

Mine is also 6-7 minutes. I would love if it was faster but it's tolerable knowing it's a small computer and the backbone of my business. I can handle being without my phone for 7 minutes every ~14 hours.

I think the more apps you have installed, the more longer it takes to load up and the less apps the faster the OS will load. I deleted a bunch of unnecessary apps like App Center NOT App World and it loads up in 3 minutes.
