Same here...Corp. discount & VIP (yeah, right!) customer and I'm not able to upgrade online. I finally broke down and called and the nice CS said that "Upgrades for current customers will not be available until Thursday, July 2" (uhm..that's today). Then she offered to put me on the "call list"

Current customers can now pre-order it on-line now I received an e-mail at 8:52 tonight. In it was a link to pre-order. I had the same problem where it wouldn't let me up grade/ pre-order now it will and I did.

I have a UPS discount and can't order online either. Most reps are telling me that I won't even get a discount on the phone when I know I will. I have the direct line to a rep who actually looked at my account and said that I will get a discount. I am to call him on the 13th, he said I will have the phone on the 14th, same time all the pre-orders will have it, works for me.

Got the e-mail and went thru all the online steps to pre-order (select phone; give billing/shipping info; add payment info) and then it kicked me out saying my order couldn't be processed. I have a $400/month business account and the shaft is being inserted by VZW yet again. Of course, business sales and support are both closed and the fine rep said they probably won't be open tomorrow or this weekend b/c of the holiday. SHAFT.

I highly doubt you have a Corporate account cause it is still not working and I received said email.


For those that are wondering what email this is, its the thing you signed up for a while back when the Tour was first announced to be notified when pre-ordering was ready.

Yup same here. I have a discount because of my employer. WTF Verizon? Do you really want me to get a 3GS? Because I really rather not go to ATT but you are pushing me. They better either fix this crap immediately because I AM ordering a new phone in the next week or so and if they want to keep me and my lines of service and broadband then they had better let me order a Tour.

I orginally posted this in the other thread about Existing customers not being able to upgrade. I thought I would post it here so you won't make the same mistake I made:

I am so frustrated right now. I have spent the last two days attempting to upgrade my device to a Tour. I am eligible for my NE2 discount and when I attempt to go through the website or the advance upgrade email that Verizon sent me I can't upgrade. I seem to fall into the category of a lot here who receive a corporate discount. So boom, there I am out of luck.

So I attempted to ask Verizon whet the issue is why we can't upgrade. I first spoke to a nice lady in India named "Melonie" who couldn't help me but transferred me to e-services and a rep named "Alex." He fed me the line that there just seems to be a problem pre-ordering Tour's from the website if you are an existing customer. When I told him of plenty of people on this thread that there were indeed existing customers pre-ordering he told me that I was mistaken and there couldn't be because there was an issue with the website.

So this leads me to two possible thoughts. First, that there could be a whole bunch of people out there who are lying out there Fourth Point of Contact
(that's their *** for Non-Army types) about being able to pre-order. Or that second, Verizon just can't seem to get anyone on the same page of music. As I said with my earlier posts in this thread, all I am looking for is answers and they aren't coming from the company.

I understand that this is a huge Multi-national Corporation that may not care about one or even a thousand customers problems, but I thought I might throw my experience out there so others don't waste their time.

I just keep questioning if I really want to keep continuing with the Big Red or if I should jump ship to Sprint for the Tour. Then I laugh and repeat their slogan "Can you hear me now?"
