Default Connecting to Browser

Howdy guys.

I recently had a Blackberry Torch for AT&T that broke. I purchased an unlocked Blackberry Tour originally from Verizon. I inserted the SIM Card and managed to connect to the AT&T EDGE network. However, despite getting emails, calls and texts; I do not have access to the browser or apps like BBM. I already have the AT&T BIS because I just had a AT&T Blackberry. I have tried everything that I have read on the forum, but am still having trouble connecting--I keep getting the "invalid address" when I try to access the browser. I have also set the APN to WAP.Cingular, but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated because AT&T provided absolutely none.

Might be a service book issue. Have you tried going to the Host Routing Table, clicking the blackberry button and selecting 'register now'? Provided your network is set up appropriately, this should send all your necessary service books that would allow you access. I'm not sure what the APN settings are for At&t but you might want to try changing the apn to blackberry.net.

Good luck.
