Default Can't select Options menu button

My first BB. Seems like it was working when I was setting it up initially this evening, but now every time I try to select Options it just sits there & appears to be locked up until I hit the send or end buttons. Is it just me??

Battery pull.....

EDIT: Since you mentioned this is your first BB, so I'm not sure if you're familiar with all the terms yet. A battery pull is basically when you remove the battery with the phone on, wait a little bit (10-30 seconds) and put it back in. This fixes a lot of little errors or bugs that can sometimes occur.

yeah, as savio said, i'd try that. Which "Options" are you trying for though? The one on the homescreen that is an icon of a wrench?

Yes, that one. Am having trouble getting the battery out though. Fingernails too short? Says to pull at the upper left corner. Am tempted to take something pointed to it but don't want to short it out...

Am wanting to sync with OUtlook using desktop manager but that's not seeing the BB so was going to check the connection settings. Is that right?
