your BIS setting is probably to filter out any messages coming from yourself, so if you email yourself, it just leaves it on the server and doesn't push it to your phone. this is a setting used for email addresses that leave two copies of an email on your phone when you email from your computer

I agree with ferraro, there is probably a filter set up in your BIS. Ridiculous or not it makes sense.

I have this same issue. Funny because I get the sent emails in my inbox, but if I email myself from the computer it never shows up on the BB. I specifically didn't set up the "no sent emails" filter because I actually do send myself emails quite often.

I noticed this too. Easy workaround would be to use a secondary email account to email to your primary email account.

Incorrect. Doesn't matter if you set a filter or not in GMail, as of BIS2.5, you will not receive message sent to yourself using GMail on your BB. This is a known fact.

I must have <2.5 BIS then Because I can send and recieve to myself with gmail. I must really be bored to do it though....
