I know this is going to be a "DUH!" question, but is there any way to turn off the audio portion of the alert when you get a new email? I found how to set vibrate and change the tone, but I want NO tone, and I see no option for that. Woke me up multiple times last night.

This is the first time I've set up email on a BB (even though it's my third), so please forgive my ignorance.

Custom Profiles.

With that you can modify the alerts better.

Or choose bedside mode in clock setting and have the profile "Silent" selected.

if we couldn't i would go freaking crazy with the alerts every minute!

However, if you have the LOUD or Medium Sound Profile selected it will over ride the "Silent" and continue to alert. The "Silent" on works when in the Normal Sound Profile. I verified this with VZW Tech support because I thought my Tour was malfunctioning.
