    Default BlackBerry VM605 B/T Speakerphone

I just got this off Amazon. Works great. Only negative is I can only charge it by the cig lighter. Most lighters go off when ignition is turned off. First charge takes 2 hours. I don't know how long it takes after that but I'm not in my car for hours at a time. I charged it the first time by plugging into one of those portable car starter battteries in my house. I don't want to ride around with a big curled wire from my visor down to cig lighter. Has about a week standby once charged, so you don't need to use the DC cord.

Anyone know since it uses a standard USB mini plug if I would damage it trying to plug it into my laptop with the USB/Mini cable that came with my Tour in order to charge it? I Don't want to fry it since it cost $67.

I tried calling Rims C/S to ask them, but that's a joke!

    Thx

thx for that reply. Ya, I actually plugged it into my laptop when I got home and it topped it right off to the green full charge light in about 20 min.

I never thought about trying the AC charger too, good idea.

Really impressed with its ease of use in the car. I avoided using my BT headset cause the battery was usually dead when I needed it.

$67 bucks but well worth avoiding and accident while using the phone.

As he said, you can charge it with any Micro-USB charger. I picked one up about a month ago for $40. I love it so far.
