becuase nothing that we have came across as of yet says anything about the Tour having a trackpad. Just a trackball

I honestly think you have no good reason to doubt the name, other than being obstinate. If the name ISN'T "Tour," then I'll eat my pants.

His reason is that if there is a phone coming with trackball/pad AND SurePress, then it won't be called the Tour. The Tour will be trackball only.

Right, I know that. I am now referring now to this new touch screen rumored device.
I'm just saying if RIM is making the move to trackpad over trackball, I assume most new devices (Atlas) would have a trackpad rather than the former. If that is in fact that case, why would there be a touch+clickable trackpad along with a touch+clickable screen?

I know but after owning 2 of the most major touch screen phones and realizing that they just aren't my cup of tea for my daily life.. I just don't want to touch a screen..

I will probably use my storm on weekends..

I would never want a touchscreen phone but the possibility of having both a touchscreen and a trackball with a keyboard really intrigues me...

How about someone Email the person that wrote that on PhoneArena and confirm what a Tour 9030 is? Because the Verizon Tour is a 9630. Try to make clarification about what they typed and if its mispelled or if there is an actual 9630 verison of the Tour.

but i've confirmed that the our has two versions. one with camera, one without. there is no touch tour in testing with VZW ATM, so unless it's some new device coming later, it is prolly a pipe dream or one of those unfounded rumors to hype and increase site traffic.

any idea when the Tour w/o the camera is supposed to come out? I would think it wouldn't be too long after

The fact that there is two versions has been known and posted since the July 13th date was posted, which was months ago. They will be available at the same time.

Didn't somebody buy 2 tours I can't think of his name but if the Tour is touchscreen why tell us now it seems a little late to me..
