    Well i was wondering because some guy told me that the phone runs on edge and there is no 3g in Canada? Im planning on buying a tour today and was wondering if it would have 3g? the phone provider would be Fido... and i know fido has 3g because they have iphones.

    On a CDMA carrier, the Tour is EVDO 3G.
    (Telus, VZW, Bell).

    On a North American GSM carrier, it is 2G (EDGE)
    (Rogers, Fido, AT&T)

    On a European GSM carrier, it would be 3G.
    (Vodaphone)

    The carriers I mentioned are not a complete list, just ones that came to mind.

    because it was never designed to, and psst, 3G EVDO rev.a > Fido 3G GSM so why downgrade to fido with the Tour anyway?
